Harley (and teddy/velveteen) pet purchase agreement
Because harley are still not as widespread, the babies are sold on a stricter deal than the general lines - this in order to keep track of the lines as much as possible so I can get the harley more out and more stable than it is right now.. Moreover, the more special coat types such as velveteen and teddy also be sold with these contracts - this will follow the velveteen / teddy used in breeding.
Pet agreement Point 1 (No breeding):
Rotten is sold on a pet contract. This means that the rat should not be used in breeding, this being based on the line (harley / satin / velveteen / teddy) the rat is from
- If an accident occurs and there is a oops-litter, the breeder is to be contacted. The buyers are discussed with breeder, and drawing up new agreements similar to this for each of the pups in the litter, including those who the buyer themselves may wish to keep - The offspring are no elligible for breeding.
o With oops litter i mean: A litter that was not planned, but has come about by accident - not a litter you intend to make.
The following must be met before you can securely use the rat in breeding: The female is a minimum of 5 months and maximum 12 months at her first mating. She should weigh at least 250g, preferably 300g and she must be given a maximum 1 litter. The male must be a minimum of 1 year when mating and should weigh at least 450g, preferably 500g. He must not be used for more than 3 litters. Applicable to both is that they must have a good mind, health and temperament.
Point 2 (Updates): Buyer agrees to keep the breeder informed about potential illness, death or temperament changes in the rat. This is an essential information for breeder, in subsequent breeding of siblings. It is the breeders sincere interest to follow the rat and its further development. Likewise breeder agrees to keep the buyer informed of changes in temperament or serious illness of siblings, parents or other, if this can be of considerable significance for the rat purchased from a breeder.
When a rat is 5 months. 11 months. And 18 months. I will ask the buyer fill out a form on this page. Otherwise I will as far as possible send a form via mail for buyer to please fill out and send back. This is done so I as a breeder (and others breeding on siblings) can get as much info on the entire litter as possible.
Point 3 (Care): It is expected that the rat is cared for under the proper conditions, such as access to fresh water, healthy diet daily, proper bedding and cagesize matching the number of rats in the cage, as well as responsible and prudent care of the rat - including vet visits and treatment if necessary. If breeders are made aware of neglect of the Rat, and breeder for themselves can confirm this, the buyer will be banned from breeder until conditions change. Breeder is willing to cooperate with the buyer, if the buyer's interest. If no changes occur, the breeder will be forced to contact the animal protection. Neglect is: Animal abuse and neglect of the rat. Failed vet visits despite the fact that this was necessary or poor cage conditions - such as lack of cage cleaning, dirty water bottles etc.
Point 4 (Relocation/putting to sleep): Should it happen that the buyer must dispose/relocate of the rat, the breeder must contacted about possible takeover, unless the buyer has found a new home for the rat, here, the new owner is approved and a new purchase agreement must be signed before the rat moves to the new home. The purchase agreement follows the rat - this is done without additional cost to the buyer / new owner. If the rat had a change in their behavior, the buyer must contact the breeder before it is decided to put the rat to sleep. When deciding whether the rat should have a second chance at the breeder or if the rat has changed in such a violent degree that other rats are injured, discuss it with the breeder. Putting a rat to sleep is a last resort.
Point 5 (Black List): Rats from Fnyff, as well as offspring of these, must not be handid in at Pet Stores, Used as feeders or overused as feed animals. They must not kept alone, but must be in groups of the same sex. Relocating / Sales of rats, as well as offspring from Fnyff must not be sold to anyone on the blacklist. This will only be given out when/if relocating rats
Buyer may at any time contact Fnyff, with any questions and advice and guidance, will be given as far as possible. The contact can be made via mail or via SMS / calls. This purchase agreement is considered to be a written agreement which you sign to have read and understood this agreement fully and you know your signature accepts and promises by your words to comply with all the conditions described thereon.
